Mariah Carey

Is Mariah Carey’s Dog Producing Her Next Album?

Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and actress, Mariah Carey is no stranger seeing her name in the news. Most recently she’s in talks with American Idol producers to join the judges panel on the hit talent show. Breaking news reported the sale of the Bahamas home, where she and husband Nick Cannon were wed. Anticipation over the release of Carey’s new Summer 2012 album is creating a lot of buzz since the pop sensation put her music career on hold last year with the birth of her twins, Morocco and Monroe. Mimi’s pups, however, are making headlines at Dogington Post.
Carey has been teasing fans and press with news of her upcoming album, dropping hints via her Twitter page. One tweet in particular included an adorable photo of one of the singer’s five Jack Russell Terriers, Jill E. Beans, wearing headphones and lending a paw in the studio. Carey told fans, “Just finished a long session with Jill e beans. She’s producing now. Haaaaaa.”
It’s no secret that Mariah Carey is seriously devoted to her dogs. She’s got a pack of five Jack Russells – Cha Cha, Jackie Lambchops, Squeak E. Beans, JJ, and Jill E. Beans. The pampered pooches help Carey with her workouts, make appearances in music videos, and join the singer in the studio. Carey even took her pups to the hospital for the birth of her twin babies and put them in pet therapy to prepare them for the arrival of the twins.
Dogington Post has included many features on the singer’s pups, including Jill E. Beans’ recent appearance producing Carey’s summer album; Fans can see Carey’s video for her Christmas hit with Justin Bieber, “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, in which Jill E. Beans makes a cameo; and more tweets from the star including one of her working out with her five dogs and another of Jill E. jumping for strawberries.
“Dogington Post is the online source for all the latest news about celebrities and their pets,” said Brooke Arnold, Public Relations for the site. “Mariah Carey is truly passionate about her pups. She’s very active with them, so they make a lot of headlines!”

Mariah Carey Too Expensive for American Idol

Mariah Carey Too Expensive for American Idol?

'American Idol' can't "afford" Mariah Carey as a judge, according to her husband, Nick Cannon.
'American Idol' can't "afford" Mariah Carey as a judge.
The 'We Belong Together' singer has been linked with a role on the show following the announcement Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are to leave, but her husband Nick Cannon thinks she would cost show chiefs much more than the salaries paid to the departing panelists.
Nick told website TMZ: "I don't know if they can afford Mariah Carey. That's a lot of money. If they gave J-Lo $20 million, they might have to double that!"
Despite Nick's claims, Jennifer was rumoured to have been paid $15 million to appear on the show.
Jennifer, 42, left 'American Idol' after two seasons in order to concentrate on other projects.
Speaking about leaving the show, she said: "Something had to give, something has to give. I was really dreading this phone call with you.
"I honestly feel the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that you do, and you have to pay attention to that, too. I could keep doing 'Idol' for the rest of my life, but that would be giving up a bunch of other things. I feel like we had an amazing run."
Meanwhile, Mariah - who has 14-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick - has been in the studio recording a new album with producer Rodney Jerkins.

AMERICAN Idol may be getting a worldwide idol as a judge - Mariah Carey.

A person familiar with the show's negotiations say Carey is being pursued to join the judging panel of the Fox talent competition. The source requested anonymity because of the private nature of negotiations, which were termed as serious.
Carey has also been courted by other talent competitions, and her name has been thrown out in the past for Idol and other shows.
There are two openings: Both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler announced last week that they were leaving as judges after two seasons. Randy Jackson, who is a manager, producer and friend of Carey's, is the only judge left. There are reports that Jackson's role may shift as well.
Others mentioned for the role include Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Aretha Franklin and Adam Lambert.
Carey's husband Nick Cannon recently told TMZ, "I don't know if they can afford a Mariah Carey.  That's a lot of money.''
If Carey were to join, she'd bring considerable expertise on hitmaking: The Grammy-winner is one of the best-selling artists of all time, with numerous No. 1 hits. She's currently working on a new album, her first since her twins were born last year.
It would also give the show a heavy dose of superstardom, which is key considering the star power on shows like X Factor, which added Britney Spears and Demi Lovato as judges and will begin its second season in the fall.
American Idol has been TV's most popular program for nearly a decade, but has had a marked downturn in its audience. Once a ratings juggernaut, its last finale drew its lowest ratings in its 11-season history.
